Hi All,

When ever we have been to Upton we have always moored in the marina. OK you
have to pay, but they have other facilities that might be useful,
launderette, showers etc. It's only a short walk to the town. At least you
know you can stop.

Mmmm. I was wanting to stop at Upton long enough to just pick someone up the
other year during the festival, and not one of the miserable b's would let
us get close. Eventually a bystander was so outraged at their behaviour he
volunteered to let us use his private landing stage a quarter of a mile
upstream. I have to say the lack of basic courtesy, let alone the lack of
friendliness which we experienced that day has put us off actually going to
the Festival. But maybe I just caught people on a bad day?

we turn round now?ue

is likely to alter significantly overnight. The floating pontoon mooring is
very small for the amount of traffic. Unless the rain stops for fair while
I would advise leaving Tewksbury around 0.900 so you can get to Worcester if
there are no moorings at Upton.

We have never had any trouble mooring at Upton, even for the Jazz Festival.
Just pick a likely boat and go alongside, even cruisers will move if you
look determined enough.
