I went through Cropredy on Friday can confirm that the boat was a Kate Boat
from Warwick, it was out of the water on the wharf being examined by the Police
and, I understand, was later taken away on a trailer.
The accident happened at Verneys Lock, just above Cropredey. I met a woman
locking up throught the next lock on the Friday morning who had been just
behind in the queue for the lock when the accident happened who was, clearly,
very shaken by the accident.
When I went throught the lock the police were there being interviewed for local
TV.
