On the Middlewich branch, apart from 'improvements' at the Middlewich end the
towpath is original grass which seems to deter the more speedy cyclist.
However, on the ever improving solid stone and dust paths that BW so love -
around Stoke for example or along the Stourbridge canal and the Staffs and
Worcester north and south of Stourton the super duper biketrack towpath invites
the lycra louts to show their paces and they come out in droves.

Just where do all these cyclists do this terrorising ?
I live canalside and could count the number of cyclists per annum
on my figers and toes without repetition.
All of them just pottering along !

Pete - on the boaty busy Middlewich branch.
