I've just studied the downloadable PDF of winter stoppages and notice that all the LLangollen stoppages have the words "canal re-opened over Christmas" on them, though the dates are not stated. Might be worth a call to check for those who fancy a dash to the end and back.
I also see that all the Coventry Canal stoppages at Atherstone, which run Jan-March say it will be open on 6th & 7th February 2010. Is there some significant event there that I've not heard about? Steve NB Bream
