Put it this way: I think it's fair to say that Andy Russell is
accepted as one of the best boat painters around these days. He uses
Masons and does an entire boat in seven to ten days, so that's primer,
two coats of undercoat and four coats of top coat plus sign writing in
ten days max. I can't see that he's allowing more than two days before
he masks.
OTOH, he's doing it all the time and has been for around 20 years...
