Also a bit of a warped report if they did not mention the funding of ALL of 
the Irish canals, instead of just the SEW?
After all, the Grand Canal / Royal Canal / Barrow Navigation are probably 
the most similar canals to the English / Welsh ones.
100% state funded...15% by Northern Ireland, which I believe is still part 
of the UK, that does not seem to care a £$%% about the canals on the "Big" 
island of the UK/British Isles.
