Once while photographing the Ponty from under a bit down and to the side a hire
boat of Swedes approached with all but one up on the roof standing for a photo.
The guy with the camera was doing the back, back bit and then tried for an
angle from the open aqueduct side. He backed and tripped on the rail and,
completely unbothered staggered about waving arms to get balance as the boat
rocked. I stood with camera ready for THE shot. But after a few staggers he
regained his balance and continued backing and snapping as the boat left the
aqueduct. They all seemed sober and, talking to them later we gained the
impression that they had not thought for a second of the chance that being on
the roof with hoses, rails and all the rest and a huge drop there was any
danger.
