Hi Terry We did it about 10 years ago and in the opposite direction to Phil. The Pearson warned us about the spit so we took the turn from the Severn to the Avon wide and had no trouble. As he says, the Severn is boring. The rest of the trip is excellent. The mooring in Evesham was noisy. The weir by the lock was home to a huge flock of Canada Geese and they didn't shut up until well after midnight.
