It shouldn't depend on any server environment options, as you will see in the output trace it simply exports the variables before each call to run(). Regrettably not an ideal solution but the configuration of ~/.ssh/options and /etc/ssh/options are unreliable and not consistently implemented (and OpenSSH specific)
