Greetings all. 1. I installed Ubuntu 7.10 on a spare Thinkpad T41, was able to successfully compile the last capture-server on the first try. 2. This is my setup
a. vmware server (Ubuntu on Dell desktop): 172.16.0.127 (eth0) b. XP VM running capture client: 192.168.0.253 (eth1, Dell desktop is multi-homed) c. capture-server (Ubuntu on Thinkpad): 172.16.0.249 3. I fire up capture-server on my Thinkpad, I see it establish a connection to tcp 902 on the vmware server, lot's of PUSH-ACK activity between the two but connenction is eventually torn down. a. XP VM never resets and I receive the error below. b. The XP VM (with it's 192.x address) does have connectivity to the capture server (172.x address) on tcp 7070. c. The XP VM *does not* have a blank Admin password. d. In my config.xml file I've specified a normal (non-root) user in the virtual-machine-server section. This user can run the XP VM locally on my vmware server without issues. e. What's interesting is that when capture-server was running locally on the vmware server (instead of separately on my Thinkpad) the revert did occur. Of course, I still got the "problematic frame" error but the revert did happen. Any ideas?
