Hi
I use for development a MAC Pro 2010. This machine can't run the newest
Apple OS.
Because of maybe an automatic setting the system downloaded
automatically the newest version but can't install it.
Consequence:
The machine tries to reboot after 15 minutes unattended to install that
system.
One work around for this problem was to start VMware, that asked me if I
want to download the newest version. I leave the box open without
answering, and then, when the machine wants to reboot, VMware is blocked
in that question and the reboot can't proceed.
:-)
But it is annoying, somehow, VMware is not the first app to be closed, I
have to restart Xcode, and several other apps closed. And I can't run
VMware since it is already blocked...
There must be a switch somewhere in the system to set the machine to
reboot and I know some developer here could give me a hand and tell me
where it is and how to turn it off.
I know this is somehow off topic and I am sorry for any disagreement
this question may cause. I called the Apple maintenance, and a nice girl
told me that I should "search the internet"...
:-)
Only developers understand this kind of stuff. So I ask here.
Thanks in advance.
jacob
