:-).. The reason here was that we needed to go ahead with the new
improvements in view of the upcoming ES. However, we decided to keep the old
code intact since we did not have enough time for the ESB Event Sources
component to migrate. From the Registry PoV migration was straightforward
and we did it in couple of days. BAM and others who have (and are going to
have) notifications, are using the event component, as well. So, once this
implementation is stable enough for the ESB to make a move, we'll be
dropping the older eventing component. This was the collective decision.
