Thanks Pete to pointing me to the right direction. However, I found that
under OS X 10.4, you need to write the modified key map to ~/.Xmodmap
(instead of ~/.xmodmaprc) as this get executed by /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc
(there is no more ~/.xinitrc).

In addition, one need to uncheck the ³use the system keyboard layout² option
in the X11 preference window under the input tab.

Otherwise things are flying.
