Probably you need "ptex" (tetex with Japanese extension) and  
"dvipdfmx" (dvi-pdf converter for east Asian languages) to output  
Japanese characters in your PDF file.  I have no idea regarding  
Traditional Chinese characters.  Please ask to one of the following  
online forums.
