I am somewhat reluctant to mess up in the /usr directories. I have created
a local ~/bin directory and have placed simpdftexnodel.sh in it. The
permissions of ~/bin and simpdftexnodel.sh are -rwxr-xr-x ~/bin is in my
path:

$ echo $PATH
/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/texbin:/usr/X11/bin:/Users/rosi/bin

I do not know how exactly to use simpdftexnodel.sh with
"--tex-path /usr/texbin". I tried the following and it failed:

$ simpdftexnodel.sh --tex-path /usr/texbin latex --maxpfb test-file.tex
