I am somewhat reluctant to mess up in the /usr directories. I have created a local ~/bin directory and have placed simpdftexnodel.sh in it. The permissions of ~/bin and simpdftexnodel.sh are -rwxr-xr-x ~/bin is in my path: $ echo $PATH /usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/texbin:/usr/X11/bin:/Users/rosi/bin I do not know how exactly to use simpdftexnodel.sh with "--tex-path /usr/texbin". I tried the following and it failed: $ simpdftexnodel.sh --tex-path /usr/texbin latex --maxpfb test-file.tex ### This is /Users/rosi/bin/simpdftexnodel.sh, Version 20070712 ### /usr/texbin/simpdftexnodel.sh latex /Users/rosi/bin/simpdftexnodel.sh: line 626: /usr/texbin/simpdftexnodel.sh: No such file or directory ### WARNING: TeX returned non zero exit status ### /usr/texbin/dvips -R -Poutline -o /tmp/altpdfsimpdftexnodel.sh.4688-1210154009/latex.ps latex.dvi This is dvips(k) 5.96 Copyright 2005 Radical Eye Software (www.radicaleye.com) /usr/texbin/dvips: !
