Hi all,

First I guess I should apologize in advance for potentially abusing
emacs vocabulary.

I've been trying to find an answer to this question, but I think I'm
just not asking Google in the right way.

I think what I'm trying to do is to change the key combo that brings
up the "Ctrl-x" submap to something like "Ctrl-;". Practically
speaking, instead of typing "Ctrl-x c" to quit emacs, I'd like to type
"Ctrl-; c"

I'd also like this to work for any command buried under Ctrl-x. After
just one day of trying to dive into emacs, I think the multitude of
times I'm reaching for ctrl-x <something> is causing some pain, and I
think a change similar to what I'm asking for may help.

I'm thinking there should be a [quick and easy way] to do this, but
I'm at a loss.

Thanks for your help,
-steve
