"Carbon Emacs Package" is my private distribution, based on the Carbon port of GNU Emacs 22 (current official versions). Carbon port of Emacs 22 is alive. "Emacs.app" (emacs-app.sf.net) is Adrian Robert's work, and this will be contributed to the emacs main code as a "Cocoa port" of Emacs 23 (next major version; in development). The Carbon port is no longer maintained in Emacs 23, because the Cocoa port will replace it. However, it seems that Cocoa port needs more time to come, and so Emacs 23 has no stable port on Mac OS X.
