[CARC] around the world in a day: A DX Challenge

Anyone up for a challenge ?   How about trying to work all continents in 24 hours from 2000 UTC August 19 to 1959 UTC August 20, 2006.    Rules:   At least three different continents must worked  be via a recognized digital mode (RTTY, PSK, MFSK16, Olivia, ALE, Throb, PAX, Pactor, Packet, Domino, SSTV, Chip64, etc, etc).  CW, SSB, AM, or FM can be used for the remaining continents...if needed.   For the purposes of this Challenge., the continental areas are: Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania (including Australia and New Zealand), and South America.   Any band band can be used From 160M  up to UHF.    QSO's must be RF to RF (No use of Echolink, IRLP, or other Internet assisted passage).  Use of satellites IS allowed.    A valid exchange must include RS/RST, and both call signs.   Post your log to the digitalradio Yahoo group ( digitalradio@yahoogroups.com ) or to [EMAIL PROTECTED] in simple text format.  The log should just include the six QSO you a submitting for the challenge.   Emailed PDF certificates to all that post achievement of WAC within the time frame.  Special certificate to the first three people to achieve the feat (based on log time).    This is a "honor system" challenge.   Andy K3UK     __._,_.___ K3UK DX Cluster via telnet://cluster.dnyalias.org Other K3UK-CARC Groups DIGITALRADIO Group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/digitalradio/ MixW Group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/themixwgroup/ Unsubscribe this group via [EMAIL PROTECTED] SPONSORED LINKS Craft hobby Ham radio Ham radio sales Ham radio outlet YAHOO!
