Dear Members, First of all may I thank you for the many replies I've received concerning my request.
As you may appreciate there is a lot of information to absorb and it will take sometime to understand fully the contents of the various websites that I've been pointed to. It is with regret however that I won't be able to make it to the conference in Brussels next week. The freeedom education conference would have been an ideal place to network and learn more. I would very much like to explore further the opportunity of working with you on this project and in the interim will be contacting various stakeholders in the Education Sector within the East Midlands region here in the UK. I will be contacting the Learning and Skills Council, who are responsible for distributing the funding that goes into colleges. This won't be until next week because the person I need to speak with is away from work until the 23/2/04. http://www.lsc.gov.uk In the mean time, may I ask a couple of questions? 1.The idea of sharing data between institutions is an excellent one as Elpilidio has stated, however there are data protection issues that need to be explored. During the lifetime of your project has this been explored? 2.Have you explored possible funding sources such as the European 6th Framework research and development (FP6) ? http://europa.eu.int/comm/research/fp6/index_en.html Look forward to hearing from you.
