Hi,

we should have a discussion about naming and storing files in general:

1. "simple" way:

<uniquefileID>.ext
file with cryptic name stored in a flat local directory

2. advanced

<PID><file_type_ID><date_time>.ext
file with clear-text name where pid=person_ID and
file_type_ID=file_or_application_type; stored in in a flat local directory

3. even more advanced:

/<pat_ID>/<application_name_or_ID>/<date>/<PID><file_type_ID><date_time>.ext
file with clear-text name where pid=person_ID and
file_type_ID=file_or_application_type; stored in in a directory tree

Any suggestions ?
"How is it done the right way ?"

Alex
