Dear Dr. Goedert, my comment did not refer to you. It referred to Dr. Antas' comments on HIS and Medical Informatics which sometimes can be strong for everyone in the discussion group, yet always convey solid knowledge and experience. It was nothing personal. I lived and worked in Germany at the Grnenthal headquarters for two years. I might say that I now understand the German ego somewhat. Maybe you should read The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. Kind regards, Daniel

You can find his absolutelly high quality analisis in the archive at SF. At least he is in the most points about HL7 and EPR/HIS/GP. Keep away your view from the flames and concentrate to the substance. In fact it slowly changes by the position of US healthcare providers.. But still i think we need the next time or in the begining a interface to HL7. But at the same time it needs a concentration to a protocoll like HXP to become influence into the market. US healthcare providers (i got a contact with 2 - 800 hospitals) are at the point to desert HL7 (defacto standard for 30 nations) if there is an alternative. But we have to integrate carefully and not in the way that we headheads try to push it with an opensource philosophy. you wrote: DH> Hi J Antas, DH> I've missed your rants.
