I just want to throw something out to the group: Enterprise healthcare is generally dominated by a platform called MUMPS, or Cache (Cache is the database owned by the company that basically bought all of the M vendors).
Coincidentally, being a healthcare programmer, I've been using and coding M/Cache for over 10 years. I am very fluent, and am regarded as one of the best Cache/M coders in the country. The competition to Care2X (Meditech, HBOC, EPIC, IDX, etc) are M/Cache based systems. If anyone on the list needs assistance converting an M based system over to Care2X drop me a note. I can generally write a "data ripping" application in M very quickly, and make the data easily imported to Care2X / MySQL. ----------- Think twice - be educated - are you SURE you trust your OS? http://search.us-cert.gov/query.html?st=1&rf=1&charset=iso-8859-1&qt=microsoft+windows ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
