Hi,

I'm trying to display an activation map generated by BrainVoyager on an inflated
cortical surface, using Caret. I've seen a few prior panlist emails on this
topic but haven't found a concrete solution. As I see it, there are two
approaches that might work --

1) Export the activation map as a NIFTI file, and load this in Caret. I have a
NIFTI file with the activation map, which is in 1mm Talairach space; the
dimensions of this image are 139x175x121, corresponding to a box around
cerebral cortex with no padding. Is there a way to directly visualize this map
in Caret, perhaps using the coordinate system for AFNI maps? On this note, does
anyone happen to know of an example statistical map generated by AFNI that I
might be able to download somewhere, so I can compare the dimensions, etc to my
map? (I haven't used AFNI.)

2) Export the corresponding surface map as a GIFTI file, and load this in Caret.
I also have a GIFTI file exported from BrainVoyager. How can this be loaded
into Caret? I'm a new user and have searched the user's guides and internet
for a guide on this, but haven't been able to find anything.

Thanks for your help,

Ben
