That's fine. You can get an R^2 value out of Caret as well, but I just do what you are doing because I don't like R^2.

Qualitatively they look similar but I was hoping to have a single value to show this taking into account that the z-score values at each node. Right now I have loaded the metric file into Matlab and run a cross correlation with the all of the node values for each map. I just am uncertain if this is the best way.
