Hey Everyone,

Here is my process for uploading foci from an excel sheet, step by step:

Creation of my excel spreadsheet for coordinates:
CSVF_FILE 0
csvf-secton-start header 2
Caret-Version 5.616
Date 2011-02-15T15:07:46
comment
encoding COMMA_SEPARATED_VALUE_FILE
csvf-section-end header
csvf-section-start Cells 26

Cell Numbers start at 0, all x y z coordinates are typed in. Names do not
have any spaces in any of them. Cells = 26, no columns have been deleted.
Also Study PubMed numbers are included.
csvf-section-end Cells

File is saved as ATLCoordinates.foci as a Windows CSV file without appending
and without quotations - this is being done on a mac.

Color File:
CSVF-FILE 0
csvf-section-start header 2
tag value
Caret-Version 5.616
Date 2011-02-15T15:07:46
comment
encoding COMMA_SEPARATED_VALUE_FILE
csvf-section-end header
csvf-section start Colors 8
Columns include:
NAME Red Green Blue Alpha Point-Size Line-Size Symbol
All cells are filled in with no spaces and the number matches the number of
coordinates.
csvf-section-end colors

Saving - ATL-AreaColor.focicolor as windows comma separated with appending
and no quotations.

Both files saved- In Caret 5.616,
Open Spec File - I'm using
Human.PC-CC.SearchFoci_Tutorial_March09.spec
Load Scenes
I open up the PALS-B12 Inflated right and left (They are displayed in the
viewing windows)
Now - Open Data file, ATL-AreaColor.focicolor - color file I made - I don't
copy to the current directory
Next - Open Data file, ATLCoordinates.foci - Don't copy files to current
directory
Nothing showing up on brain yet-
In Spec I go to foci - open color, Open ATL-AreaColor.focicolor - color file
I made
Next I open ATLCoordinates.foci
I append both
Nothing shows up,
In the D/C menu I go to Layers- Check foci- Still nothing shows up.
In the foci main window Show foci, show volume voci, show foci on Correct
hemisphere Only are all checked.
Still nothing on the brain.

Does anyone have any ideas? Sorry for the lengthy email, I just thought it
would be good to have a complete process out for those who have the same
problem in the future.

Thanks!
