This email announces the release of Caret 5.64 software. You will need both a
user name and password to download the software. The download page for Caret
5.64 is "http://brainvis.wustl.edu/wiki/index.php/Caret:Download";. Use
"Rabbit" for the user name and "Carrot" for the password (both are case
sensitive). The single ZIP file in past releases, containing executables for
all platforms, has been replaced by a ZIP file for each platform. Installation
instructions for Caret are at:
"http://brainvis.wustl.edu/CaretHelpAccount/caret5_help/installation/caret5_installation.html";.
Caret 5.64 runs on these platforms: Macintosh OS X 10.5 or later (Intel
processor), Microsoft Windows (XP and later), and Linux (RedHat 5.6 and later;
should run on other Linux distributions). Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions are
available for each platform. The Caret source code is also available if you
would like to build Caret on another operating system.
It is our intent to provide Caret executables for versions of operating systems
that have been released in the last few years. However, the computers we use
for building the all versions of Caret have changed. As a result, Caret may
not run on some older versions of the supported operating systems. If you have
a problem, please post a message to the caret users email list
(http://brainvis.wustl.edu/wiki/index.php/Caret:Mailing_List) including any
error messages and your operating system version. Unfortunately, in some cases,
the only solution may be to update your operating system.
This release corrects a problem that occurred when reading data files in
Caret's ASCII or binary formats if the file contained a very long line in the
file's header. Other changes can be found at
