Hi Jefe, I've never try yet cartoweb with postgis 1.4. So if you can try to downgrade to a postgis 1.3.5 version and see if you have the same error.
I think cw3.5 need some adjustement to work with 1.4 as some function have change. I also believe you need a quiet recent Mapserver (5.2 5.4) to work with new postgis. Did the other demo working ?
