.NET CAS Client 1.0 should be ready by 12/6 From: Scott Battaglia [mailto:scott.battag...@gmail.com] Sent: Monday, November 22, 2010 2:13 PM To: cas-dev@lists.jasig.org Cc: Smith, Matthew J. Subject: Re: [cas-dev] coordinated releases
CAS Devs, What is the liklihood of your release being ready by 12/6 for a coordinated release? We'll also need a one or two sentence summary of the release changes to compose a coherent statement (we'll then include the detailed release notes further down). mod_auth_cas devs: I think at this point, you should do the level of sanity testing that you can, and be prepared to do a quick next release if anyone uncovers any major issues with the curl support. Thoughts? Cheers, Scott On Sun, Nov 21, 2010 at 11:38 PM, Scott Battaglia <scott.battag...@gmail.com<mailto:scott.battag...@gmail.com>> wrote: Just an update. The CAS Client and ClearPass preparations are basically done (other than testing). I've got a few server issues remaining to resolve. Seems like we'll be able to. Based on everyone's roadmap/schedule, we might be able to do this sometime in the beginning of December. Seems like you'd be able to do that assuming the testing on libcurl was good. From my perspective, there are a few things that need to be done for mod_auth_cas to have a release ready: 1) Migrate changes from libcurl branch to trunk, as this is the wave of the future 2) Ensure win32 documentation is up to date 3) Possibly apply an out-of-band patch someone sent me relating to VirtualHost config blocks. Are you targeting a release for this week (Thanksgiving?). I'm only reluctant since I don't know how many libcurl branch users there are, and I'd hate to release something that behaves flaky (Matt Smith can probably comment on how stable this has been, I've pestered him and others at UConn to run the curl branch and give me feedback, but haven't heard anything negative). If the feedback is good, then we could probably accomplish these items. -Phil On Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 12:21 PM, Scott Battaglia <scott.battag...@gmail.com<mailto:scott.battag...@gmail.com>> wrote: > On Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 10:45 AM, Jonathan Markow > <jjmar...@jasig.org<mailto:jjmar...@jasig.org>> > wrote: >> >> Given Marvin and Joachim's responses, can we plan to do a coordinated >> release of all of these, with one announcement, which I would distribute >> widely? > > We can, which is why I was asking :-) > > Most of the open issues for the CAS Client and CAS Server are pretty minor > and should be able to be completed before phpCAS and .NET are finished. > > We'll need to hear what the mod_auth_cas people have to say. > > Cheers, > Scott > > >> >> -Jonathan >> >> On Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 10:21 AM, Scott Battaglia >> <scott.battag...@gmail.com<mailto:scott.battag...@gmail.com>> wrote: >>> >>> I'm working on wrapping up CAS Client, CAS ClearPass, and CAS Server >>> updates. >>> >>> What are the status of any upcoming releases for mod_auth_cas, phpCAS, >>> and .NET CAS Client? >>> >>> Anyway we can roll out the next set of releases in a coordinated fashion? >>> >>> -- >>> You are currently subscribed to >>> cas-dev@lists.jasig.org<mailto:cas-dev@lists.jasig.org> as: >>> jjmar...@jasig.org<mailto:jjmar...@jasig.org> >>> >>> >>> To unsubscribe, change settings or access archives, see >>> http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/JSG/cas-dev >> >> -- >> You are currently subscribed to >> cas-dev@lists.jasig.org<mailto:cas-dev@lists.jasig.org> as: >> scott.battag...@gmail.com<mailto:scott.battag...@gmail.com> >> >> >> To unsubscribe, change settings or access archives, see >> http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/JSG/cas-dev > > -- > You are currently subscribed to > cas-dev@lists.jasig.org<mailto:cas-dev@lists.jasig.org> as: > modauth...@gmail.com<mailto:modauth...@gmail.com> > To unsubscribe, change settings or access archives, see > http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/JSG/cas-dev -- You are currently subscribed to cas-dev@lists.jasig.org<mailto:cas-dev@lists.jasig.org> as: scott.battag...@gmail.com<mailto:scott.battag...@gmail.com> To unsubscribe, change settings or access archives, see http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/JSG/cas-dev -- You are currently subscribed to cas-dev@lists.jasig.org<mailto:cas-dev@lists.jasig.org> as: sholo...@princeton.edu To unsubscribe, change settings or access archives, see http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/JSG/cas-dev -- You are currently subscribed to cas-dev@lists.jasig.org as: arch...@mail-archive.com To unsubscribe, change settings or access archives, see http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/JSG/cas-dev
