Apologies if this has been asked before, but here goes. I'm looking to see if there would be any interest from the community in creating an appliance distribution of CAS. Essentially what I was thinking was a packaged virtual machine running some distribution of linux with an already working version of CAS setup on it.
Furthermore, the development of an installation GUI which allows the user to configure authentication adaptors, attribute repositories, clustering, etc allowing the institution to get a stable production quality version of CAS up and running quickly. Just a thought and obviously needs more scoping, but if there was considerable demand I'd be willing to aid development.
