I forked the cas sources (3.5 RC1) and fixed the openid support.
I created a jira for the issue i stated previously today :

I also made a pull request #61.
Jérome, i didn't replace the Base64 encoder by a new String, just added a
replaceAll("\r\n", "").
I rebuilt my CAS server with the 3.5 RC1 sources, and my fixed 3.5 RC1
openid support module, removing in my client webapp the filter cleaning the
parameters.
Everything worked flawlessly on the first try. No NPE, no parameter
rejected.
