Hi Matt,

Thank you for tagging this release! Your efforts are very much appreciated.

Please consider following the already established format for this project's
release tags: "v1.1-RC1" instead of "1.1-RC1". While I prefer the latter, this
project is already using the former and the change in release tag format will
break automated systems that look for new releases. An example of such a
system is Debian's 'uscan' (https://wiki.debian.org/debian/watch) where, for
mod_auth_cas, the package maintainer has configured a regular expression that
includes the leading 'v':
https://sources.debian.net/src/libapache2-mod-auth-cas/1.0.9.1-4/debian/watch/

That said, the regular expression is incorrect since it assumes a path to the
automatically-generated tar.gz files to include 'tarballs/' so the package
maintainer will need to update the watch file anyway. I assume github changed
the URLs at some point.

Still, I'd prefer consistency so I ask that you consider using "v1.1-RC1".

Thanks,

Luca

All,

I have just pushed and tagged Release Candidate 1 of mod_auth_cas v1.1 to the
master branch of the mod_auth_cas project at
https://github.com/jasig/mod_auth_cas .

This release includes support for Apache httpd 2.4 and several other bugfixes
that have been used by many organizations for some time now.

We plan to release 1.1 shortly, but would love to get some testing and feedback
(positive or negative) of the RC. If you have the opportunity to do so, please
open any issues you find on the GitHub site.

Thank you all,
-Matt
