You probably should start a different thread on this subject, but before I (or anyone really) respond I’d have to know what your definition of “cloud CAS solution” is, and what your expectations of that solution are, and whether you’re planning to be a provider or a consumer of that service.
My assessment in brief is that hosted CAS solutions work far better today than cloud-native CAS solutions; in what you can expect from them at least. The project is making significant strides to accommodate what one might consider a fully-featured cloud deployment but we are a few releases out before we reach that point.
