Ah, the CAS server uses another server, such as LDAP, to check the NetID and password. There are many possible authentication sources.
In the 4th point means suppose NetId and password is correct here to go redirect to my phpcas clinet url (am I correct)
If the NetID and password are correct, the CAS server will tell the user's computer to redirect BACK to your application URL (where the client tried to go in step 1).
