Single Sign on will work with HTTPs but you will always have an
invisible redirect to the cas server that does the service authentication.
Can you check if you get a valid TGT cookie from the CAS server? You
should have a cookie named CASTGC with some TGT-...... in it. (default
config i think).
Please also check that all you services a marked as SSO paticipants in
the service management gui.
