Even if we won't use exactly clustered mysql but a mysql load balaced. The configuration with ehcache and rmi could be a good solution... For example we succeed to use memcache but it's the only method that we installed with success but for other we have problems and not a lot of time to spend to look for (more if we have to find on mailing list to find explanations).
