I was going to say that infinite redirection can happen if there's a cookie problem. For instance, there was an infinite redirection loop problem recently posted on this list, that turned out to be due to the wrong domain being in a cookie-related parameter's value. And one time I had an infinite loop problem because cookies were mistakenly disabled for the domain I was working with.
