In brief, when you clone the CAS git repository you'd be on the
development master branch by default which includes the latest and the
greatest. The planned/upcoming release is '3.5.0-RC1'.

With regards to Git, I personally find the documentation here [2] an
excellent starting point to understand the Git philosophy. I'd also
recommend that you utilize a decent Git client for your platform or use
the EGit plugin for Eclipse to fully take advantage of the tool.

Subject: [cas-user] CAS Version - git

I'm not too familiar with CAS or git - apologies for newbie question; I've
been following steps at:
https://wiki.jasig.org/display/CASUM/Using+CAS+with+Maven+2+and+Eclipse

What version of CAS should I check out to Eclipse?

When checking out with GIT from scm:git:[email protected]:Jasig/cas.git;
what version is downloaded?
