With a little bit of digging around, you could review the code for CasAlternateAuthModule.cs and see if you can leverage a non forms-auth based implementation for your needs.
Not advised. That code was developed before we got Scott Holodak on board, who identified a number of significant problems with that module in terms of how it integrated into the HttpModule pipeline. While you might find it meets your needs, you'd likely be better served in the long getting the existing module to work with Forms Auth.
