In case this applies, on deploying CAS 3.5.2 some of our
Plone/Zope/Python clients broke. Turns out (1) the license agreement at
the top of the JSPs were turned into white space, and (2) affected
Python clients were not skipping the white space at the top of the (CAS
3.0) service validation response XML, so couldn't recognize a success.

Once verifying the behavior, we pulled the 'security card' and told our
clients to update their plugins, then placed a directive in top.jsp to
trim extra white space from output:
