Just to make sure I understand: My use case doesn't actually involve any
applications. I was thinking about the case where the user goes directly to
the CAS login page: https://yourhost:8443/cas/login

Upon successful login the casGenericSuccess view is shown by the CAS server
web application. It seems natural on that page to show the login of the
authenticated user.

With respect to the applications, it has been easy to get the login there,
either with the Java or Spring CAS clients.
