Closing the browser should work - if it is not, then there is a bug.
Could you give us:
* mod_auth_cas config
* Browser Version
* Client Operating System
* If possible, cookie expiration times for A1 and A2, and your CAS
Server TGC

Make sure you close all browser windows -- AFAIK, most browsers will
maintain cookies as long as any browser windows remain.
