Scott,

Would you take a look at the following http access entries? The https
access log file is full of this sort of entry for the day we were having
access problems.

Thanks. Mike

The only way it can get caught in redirects is if the client isn't smart
enough to stop on a failed ticket validation and instead attempts to
obtain a new ticket.

We are in the process of adding Blackboard to our CAS. We are currently
testing Bristol blackboard-cas version 1.2 (dated 2004). We are running
Blackboard 7.3.230.0 over ssl.

Last Wednesday, we were unable to access the test server due to a
"Redirect Loop." The next day we were able to login to the test server
using CAS. We stop the server each night for a couple hours to do
backups. It must have *fixed* itself on the restart. Not sure.

Anyway, I've done some searching today and I find that we are no alone
when it comes to issues with infinite redirects. I have not had a chance
to read all of the related posts. But the few that I have read really
haven't provided any answers as to why CAS clients get caught in
infinite redirects.

Has anyone found a resolution?

Thanks, Mike
