Scott, Ok Thanks.
Can you explain the following http access log entries? These lines occur on every successful cas auth. I'm not sure why there appears to be multiple/duplicate server hits. 10.251.16.1 - - [23/Dec/2008:10:34:44 -0700] "GET /webapps/login?new_loc=http%3A%2F%2Fcoursetest.umt.edu%2Fwebapps%2Fporta l%2Fframeset.jsp&ticket=ST-8904-rHSAmvZTUOYDdwpfvUcVipq9y1CKza4o390-20 HTTP/1.1" 302 5 "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.20) Gecko/20081217 Firefox/2.0.0.20 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)" "JSESSIONID=55F3A8D35569FA6514DFA50015B7FD1F.root; JSESSIONID=DA0688C277A3896CA7A57C1AD6351955.root; session_id=E667CC3DC63E75D51240A1D9C48E408F" 10.251.16.1 - - [23/Dec/2008:10:34:44 -0700] "GET /webapps/login/?new_loc=http%3A%2F%2Fcoursetest.umt.edu%2Fwebapps%2Fport al%2Fframeset.jsp&ticket=ST-8904-rHSAmvZTUOYDdwpfvUcVipq9y1CKza4o390-20 HTTP/1.1" 302 0 "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.20) Gecko/20081217 Firefox/2.0.0.20 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)" "JSESSIONID=55F3A8D35569FA6514DFA50015B7FD1F.root; JSESSIONID=DA0688C277A3896CA7A57C1AD6351955.root; session_id=E667CC3DC63E75D51240A1D9C48E408F" 10.251.16.1 - - [23/Dec/2008:10:34:44 -0700] "GET /webapps/portal/frameset.jsp HTTP/1.1" 302 0 "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.20) Gecko/20081217 Firefox/2.0.0.20 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)" "JSESSIONID=DA0688C277A3896CA7A57C1AD6351955.root; session_id=E667CC3DC63E75D51240A1D9C48E408F" 10.251.16.1 - - [23/Dec/2008:10:34:44 -0700] "GET /webapps/portal/frameset.jsp HTTP/1.1" 200 11006 "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.20) Gecko/20081217 Firefox/2.0.0.20 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)" "JSESSIONID=066EB0B1C6C336CE2C1CA8F29EF4C1BD.root; JSESSIONID=DA0688C277A3896CA7A57C1AD6351955.root; session_id=E667CC3DC63E75D51240A1D9C48E408F" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Michael Gaab Administrator, Course Management System Continuing Education The University of Montana Missoula, MT 59812 Phone: 406.243.6373 Fax: 406.243.2047 ________________________________ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Scott Battaglia Sent: Tuesday, December 23, 2008 9:48 AM To: Yale CAS mailing list Subject: Re: Blackboard auth with CAS: Redirect Loop All it most likely means is that you're asking for new tickets. The issue is why the client is asking for new tickets. Check your client logs for ticket validation failures and subsequent redirects. You can also turn logging on for the server and it should tell you if ticket validation failed. -Scott -Scott Battaglia PGP Public Key Id: 0x383733AA LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/in/scottbattaglia On Tue, Dec 23, 2008 at 11:30 AM, Michael Gaab <[email protected]> wrote: Scott, The attached file takes a one second snapshot of a single session. The entries clearly show that during a one second interval that 7 new tickets were created and then a subsequent redirect (http 302). Not sure what this means.
