Hi everybody, We have discovered an outbreak of the W32.Pinfi virus at the BWRC. Details of the virus can be found at
http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2003-011708-2030-99 So far, we've seen it largely infect our mkbof.exe instances extracted from the base system ZIP files, and espresso.exe from the old astro_library. We believe that this infection is limited to our local filesystem here at BWRC WITH THE EXCEPTION OF the mlib_devel_10_1 project. If you have checked out mlib_devel_10_1 project from SVN in the last 2 weeks, you may have an infected mkbof.exe. We have made sure it's now purged from the repository.
