[casper] Latency and PID Controllers

Gday all

I was wondering if anyone happened to know some ballpark latency figures 
that one would expect for a signal that goes from ADC -> ROACH/BEE2 -> 
back out a DAC?

Also, has anyone experimented with PID controllers on CASPER hardware? 
I'm thinking a ROACH could be quite neat as a control system for laser 
mode-locking, or a temperature control system, depending on the latency...
