I am wanting to write a paper on a combined NxN correlator and
beamformer imaging instrument. This amounts to the existing packetised
correlator with added beamformers, which you basically get for free.
It makes use of existing 10GbE links' free bandwidth and each
additional beam only requires four multipliers and a little BRAM
memory. I spoke to Richard in some detail about this a year ago
already and have mentioned it to Glenn Jones as well. If you or he is
interested, I'd be keen for a co-author or two.
