Hi Steve,

On Debian/Ubuntu 'sshd' is at /usr/sbin/sshd, but I would use the script
/etc/init.d/ssh, which should be started at boot.  If not you can try
restarting it yourself:

 /etc/init.d/ssh <stop | start | restart>
