Hi all,
I thought I'd follow up this link with a little more information, for
posterity. It turns out that using Remote Desktop was causing my
licensing errors. Only when I tried to compile the design remotely
did I have this problem. Also, the only solution I've found is
reinstalling the Xilinx ISE.

Hi Andrew,
Good news: I found a solution to this license problem. Bad news: I
still
don't really know the source. I reinstalled the Xilinx ISE 10.1
software
and this fixed it. If I'm able to reproduce this problem with some
more
diagnostic information, I'll update this email thread.
Thanks for the effort!

Hrmm... Can you dump a list of the environment variables set in
your shell
when executing the lmutil lmstat command?
Also, within reason, anything you do on the roach (running bof files,
etc..)
should have no effect on the operability of matlab / simulink / ise

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Does lmutil have a verbose flag?
Not that I can see, but I'm still figuring out how to use it.
How did you disable the 10gig nic on your windows machine? Did you
remove the card?
I right-clicked on the 10gig card as in appeared in the "Network
Connections" folder and selected "Disable." Also, I killed the
tgtap
and Bof file running on the ROACH. Running "lmutil lmhostid" now
shows that there's only one MAC address (the correct one).
