Hi John, If I remember correctly, it should have been possible, but alas is not.
The ability is actually built into the Platform Flash PROM chip, and the selection jumpers are on the board (one of the set of 3x2 headers by the PROM). Unfortunately, the 32Mb PROM isn't capable of storing more than 1 2VP50 bitstream, each of which is just a hair over 19Mb. I think we explored this a while back, when ATA was starting to build up large racks of IBOBs and wanted to switch between test and observation modes. We found that the PROM chip actually is capable of handling compression, but there was something with the way the configuration clocks are cascaded that makes the feature unsupported. So bottom line is: parts of the ability are there, but there are some missing pieces that might be a very large pain to hack in. Thanks, Henry On 5/24/2010 11:39 AM, John Ford wrote:
Hi all. Is it possible to put 2 personalities in an ibob, so that you can select the personality with a jumper or switch? John
