do any of you know if there exist chips that convert from  LVDS to
SFP+ or from XAUI to SFP+? Other than chips, do you know if there are
any products that perform this function?

The LVDS interface to PHYs is called XGMII, try looking for that:

The FPGA vendor IP cores may use this term for the internal
connection between their MAC IP block and their hard-IP
PHYs that are on the board. But their IP almost certainly
supported an external LVDS interface in the past. You might
have some luck looking at the IP data books to see what
external PHYs they have been tested with. That'll give you
a few vendor names.

I'd guess that NetLogic and Broadcom probably also have
(or had) something too.
